Australian Natives and Cousins

This mix of native flowers includes cousins to our Australian natives and are frequently included with Australian Natives because of their relationship. Actually they are descendants from the time when Gondwanaland encompassed South Africa, Antarctica, parts of Asia as well as Australia. When the continents broke up, the various species developed different and specific characteristics but they all have the same origin. Most native plants are frequently subjected to a harsh climate and with the result many have quite tough and waxy petals. They come in a myriad of colours such as yellows, reds, pinks and whites and are contrasted against the soft green of there foliage.
